Evil prevails when good men (and girls) do nothing..
There is undoubtely a unique loneliness a Conservative faces in a world that is falling increasingly victim to the demonization of the free western world by both oppurtunist leftist intellectuals and the rest which i would consider as, "bandwagon Liberals"
( media figures, celebrities, peace activists ).
In the workplace, at social gatherings, Conservatives have to constantly assure their peers that they are truly good hearted, compassionate people--despite their conservative views.
In an art school of 500 long-haired or mowhawked, tree-embracing, artistically gifted, free loving students whose Conservative club would consist of a total recruitment of 2 students,a young bare headed to be-Marine would be constantly subjected to harrassment by both students and teachers and be deemed a Nazi or a brainwashed fascist. *long pause*
Such is my case except i'm not about to join the Corps. My friends who is leaving in a few days to be shipped to Paris Island, is. And he is more than relieved to be free of the near daily harrassment and naive reactions he has been recieving ranging from physical threats to tearful pleas.
I have, for the most part, always been anti-social; a condition that has prevented me from maintaining platonic relationships that have lasted over 2 years, and also has detached me from most of my age group. Most recently, after discovering my new found feminist saviour,Camille Paglia ( Although i do not stand by her on all social issues concerning sexuality, i relate to her greatly being both a supporter of the arts, and an artist--but i'll talk about that epiphany another time ) I was pretty much convinced that i would not be looking towards a life time of blossoming friendships and beautiful sororities and maybe little understanding from my generation, and now as a Pagliast, from my gender either.
Did i mention that i am being educated and am living among one of the most ignorant demographics in the world? Canadian teenagers.
